While the 2013 Nissan GT-R has already established itself as a world-class supercar, it just keeps getting better and better with each new update. Clearly, there is no stopping the GT-R from outperforming itself!
What's New with the 2013 Nissan GT-R?
For starters, the new GT-R comes with increased engine output and a more improved transmission. This gave the GT-R an additional 15 horsepower and another 15 pound-feet of torque making it capable of producing about 545 horsepower and 463 pound-feet of torque. The new transmission, on the other hand, accounts for its smoother and quieter operation. Despite all that added power, however, Nissan promises that the new GT-R will be more fuel-efficient.
The GT-R also features a retuned asymmetric suspension which clearly explains its improved road-holding capability. With the new suspension in place, you would surely feel the GT-R's improved responsiveness and smoothness whenever you steer.
Since most of the improvements were directed on improving its performance, very little changes were made on the exterior and interior of the 2013 GT-R. However, Nissan managed to give its interior a more sophisticated atmosphere by adding blue lighting inside the tachometer ring and updating the sound system. In addition, all models now come fully equipped with a rearview camera. In addition, the GT-R Black edition has been outfitted with carbon fiber rear spoiler.
2013 GT-R Standard Features
The new GT-R can best be described as an affordable supercar. It manages to incorporate high technology and superior performance without costing as much as its more expensive counterparts. In fact, the GT-R is merely a third of the price of its rivals.
The GT-R comes in two trim levels - Premium and Black edition. The Premium trim level features 20-inch forged alloy wheels and high-performance tires, Brembo brakes, automatic on/off xenon headlights and LED running lights. The interior features performance bucket seats, leather/faux-suede upholstery and heated power-adjustable front seats.
This exotic supercar also features keyless ignition/entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, electronically adjustable suspension, USB iPod interface, Bluetooth connectivity, information monitor and a hard-drive-based navigation system. The GT-R Black edition, on the other hand, features lightweight black wheels and leather Recaro seats.
The GT-R is powered by a twin turbocharged 3.8 liter V6 engine mated with a six-speed dual-clutch manual transmission. According to some credible sources, it can hit 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and has managed to record a 60-0 mph stopping distance of 98 feet. It's really quite impressive.
Without a doubt, the 2013 Nissan GT-R can deliver an otherworldly performance at an unbeatable price. Are you ready to let it rock your world?
