Aside from sporting a fresher exterior styling, the new two-seater 2013 Honda CR-Z comes with more power and improved fuel efficiency. With these new features, is there anything more you can possibly ask for?
Introducing the New 2013 Honda CR-Z
New improved features - both inside and out
Honda made some styling tweaks both outside and inside the CR-Z. It now features two new exterior colors (deep purple Passion Berry Pearl and Polished Metal Metallic), LED daytime running lights, and a completely reworked fascia filled with a mesh grille. To complete its new, updated look, the CR-Z also features 16-inch alloy wheels, stylish LED brake lights, chiselled projector beam halogen headlights and an aerodynamically functional rear diffuser. With its sharp and eye-catching looks, the CR-Z will definitely make such a strong statement on the road.
Several small changes have also been made inside the CR-Z. Honda completely redesigned the car's door panels and added new technological features which include Bluetooth connectivity and a rear view camera. The EX trim level also comes with the Honda Satellite-Link Navigation system, Pandora internet radio and SMS messaging capability.
A more powerful and enjoyable ride
The CR-Z hybrid hatch also features a more powerful electric motor and a new lithium-ion battery pack that helped increase the overall system output to 130, a significant improvement from last year's model which only gives out a maximum of 122 hp. In addition, the 2013 CR-Z features a "Plus Sport System" which delivers a short extra boost of torque at the push of a button. With these new features, you will surely find that the CR-Z can give you a more powerful and enjoyable ride.
Improved fuel efficiency
This sporty two-seater hatchback can do 36 mpg city and 39 mpg highway for the continuously variable transmission (CVT) model and 31 mpg city and 38 mpg highway for the six-speed manual gearbox, a marked improvement as compared to the 2011 and 2012 models.
Other impressive features
Aside from the notable improvements mentioned earlier, the 2013 CR-Z also features power locks, windows and door mirrors, keyless entry, cruise control and automatic climate control. Higher trim levels have leather and metal trim accents, high-intensity discharge headlamps and fog lamps added for good measure.
The 2013 Honda CR-Z has ample safety features on board. It is built using the Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure to distribute crash energy evenly all throughout the front side of the vehicle, an anti-lock braking system to prevent wheel lockup, and traction control to help you retain control of the vehicle in cases of side slippage. It also has 3-point seat belts with automatic tensioning system and standard airbags (front, front side and side curtain airbags) to protect its occupants during sudden stops or impact.
